Check out my new friend Judi’s blog, she is giving away some great goodies!
Here are some pictures of my ATC’s from a recent swap on the Fiskateer’s website. This was my first ATC swap, so I wasn’t really sure what to do. Thanks to my Cricut and my Fiskar’s Apron Lace Punch, I came up with this:
Have a beautiful day out there world!
Okay, so I finally got organized and now I have some new pictures to share with you. I started a new job about three weeks ago and I have not had any time to post anything. So now I am back, yeah! On the Fiskateer website, I participated in a rubber stamp swap. We had to submit three different stamped images, with 15 of each image stamped. It was a total of 45 stamped sheets. Here are some pictures below:
Here is a closeup of the individual stamped images. First up is “You Rock”
Next up is the “Happy Birthday” image:
And finally, there is the “Thank You” stamp:
I received my stamps from the swap and I have to admit, I was very impressed. My fellow Fisk-a-sisters sent the neatest stamps! I can’t wait to start coloring and arranging them on cards to reuse. This has been one of my favorite swaps thus far! I love the Fiskateers! For more information on joining our Fiskateer family, go to www.fiskateers.com
See you next time!

Check out my Guestbook! March 14, 2010
So here is the other item that I made at my Stampin Up workshop. It is a square scallop die from Sizzix, then we scored it (I used a Fiskars trimmer to score the paper) and then folded it. This is a super easy project, that turned out really pretty!
Some of the Hershey’s Kisses are missing thanks to my husband! 🙂
So a couple of weeks ago I went to my first Stampin Up workshop. I met a lot of really nice people at the workshop and I learned several new techniques. My host was gracious and well spoken. Here are some images of the easel card we made.
This is the inside of the card. You can’t really tell from this photo, but we stamped the image on the outside of the card twice. Once for the outside, and once again on the inside without re-inking. This gave a kind of shabby faded look to it.
This is the card folded up. I stamped it a little crooked, but I kind of like that it isn’t perfect anyway. Life isn’t perfect right! The friends stamp was achieved by putting drops of different colors of ink on a baby wipe. It came out really neat I thought. I wish I could take credit for this, but it was our host who taught us this new technique.
Here is the card sitting inside the border punch which makes it sit up and therefore, it is an easel card! I loved making this card and so enjoyed my time at that workshop. I hope to be able to attend each meeting. Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
Okay, so I am pretty new to Fiskateers. My Fiskateer’s number is 6849. Anyway, so I am on the website, and then I see this post about ordering Cricut Covers. My new Friend, Shannon White really helped me out. I ordered the cover on Etsy and it works so much better than what I had before.
So the old cover was a worn out towel that I found in the garage and through in the laundry to make sure it was clean. Not exactly pretty. All I can tell you is that I was so excited when I received my new cover. Check it out…
Needless to say, I love my new cover and I have Shannon to thank for it. Now I need a cover for my Sizzix Big Shot Express, anybody out there know how to make one of those?
I thought you might want to see the other side of the fifth wheel. We bought this camper about a year ago and one of our first outings was on Valentine’s Day weekend. So, we decided that maybe we could make it a tradition. We packed up our two dogs, Sandy and Shasta and put them in the back of our gorgeous Red Dodge Cummins Diesel 2500. We love to up to the lake. What is so ironic is that we live on Caballo Lake Drive in El Paso, however, there is no water here. So…we drive up to the real Caballo Lake to get away from it all for awhile.
On Valentine’s Day weekend, my husband and our two puppies went camping at Caballo Lake State Park in Southern New Mexico. It was a beautiful (although short) weekend. The weather cooperated and we were able to be outside most of the day.
